Hi, I’m Sarah!

I'm an artist and designer in Olympia, Washington, working across graphic design, illustration, murals, and, more recently, video and projection mapping. Memory Machine came out of my own family archive, and out of a question I keep circling: if embodied experience is what makes us human, what's left when it gets extracted and stored as data?

By day, I run House of Someday, my one-woman brand identity studio. I'm a creative director, brand strategist, illustrator, muralist, and a person who will 1,000% have opinions about your typography. For over 20 years, I've built brands for restaurants, breweries, spas, ice cream shops, and environmental nonprofits, from full identities to murals on very large walls.

Good design works for everyone, so accessibility is part of every project from the start, not tacked on at the end. I'm finishing my B.A. in computer science at The Evergreen State College, focused on UX and accessibility, and raising four kids along the way.

Nice to meet ya!
